July 14, 2005

Okay, Okay, I know I haven't updated you all in a while, but it is really hard work growing up. As of June 20, 2005, I am one year. This means big things like drinking whole mile, eating honey, and being encouraged to walk. I have been really busy with my travels lately, I went to Utah twice and Florida to visit dad on his surgery rotation. I am glad to say that we are all home in our own house for awhile. Mom has finally seen the light and her last day of work is tomorrow, is there anything better than staying home with me??? She seems excited, but a little sad to let work go. Dad is now an official fourth year medical student...he tells me this is the last year he has to pay to go to school and next year they will pay him to be a resident/slave. He is starting to work on his application process for residencies...he will start interviewing this fall. As for mom she seems to either be laying down all of the time or eating (which makes it nice for me to get a lot of snacks). She tells me that we are going to have another rugrat in January for me to be a big brother to. I will have to contemplate this for a while and I will let you know later how I feel about the news of another addition to the family. I hope you are all doing well. Hugs and Kisses- Caleb.

Here's the whole family in Lutsen, Minnesota on our summer family vacation. I had a great time mountain biking, alpine sliding, swimming, and hiking...mom and dad usually tagged along. Posted by Picasa

How can you resist an innocent face like this? The background is the scenery of Lutsen, Minnesota.  Posted by Picasa

I thought I might take the row boat out for a spin (it came with the cabin on a lake that we stayed at for a night in northern Minnesota). Posted by Picasa

Here I am intently watching the water ski show in Rochester, Minnesota. These people are crazy, they stand on top of each other and even ski with their bare feet. Posted by Picasa

I love pushing my walker, now that I am one year's old people keep encouraging me to walk, but I would rather be carried. Why do they keep pushing me towards independance? Posted by Picasa

Here I am with Grandma Mitchell. If I smile really big she gives me anything I want! Posted by Picasa

Uncle Matt though my hair was getting a little long in the back and told me he would take the shears to it. I sat really still...who know's what his resume in haircutting is! Posted by Picasa

I love birthday's, they actually encourage you to destroy a beautiful cake. Let's do this again really soon, tomorrow works in my schedule. Posted by Picasa

I decided Utah was the place I wanted to spend my very first birthday...here I am eating my cake. Yummy. Posted by Picasa

I really enjoyed my time in Florida...mostly I swam in the pool and drank lemonaide (minus the lemonaide...mom doesn't let me have that much fun) Posted by Picasa

I am filling out my NCAA picks...I have been watching ball with dad and I think I have a good chance of winning.

I didn't win, I really really wanted to win. Give the little guy a break! Posted by Picasa

Here I am mowing the lawn on Grandpa's riding lawn mower, I let mom come along for the ride. Posted by Picasa

This is me at 10 months, I am really growing, I wish mom and dad would get me a new car seat! Posted by Picasa
